Everyone's favourite mercenary is making his long-awaited Marvel's Midnight Suns debut later in the week, when The Good, The Bad, and The Undead DLC drops on 26th January.
Outside of weaponised puns and lethally bad jokes, Deadpool can inflict some serious hurt via his En Fuego combat mechanic. Each time he takes out an enemy, it builds a meter which, once full, gives Deadpool a stack of En Fuego, which modifies most of the merc's abilities in various ways.
This means that getting the most out of Wade Wilson revolves around letting him be the star of the show (he likes that), getting the glory of the knockout blow and thus continuing to dish out damage. This is why he pairs well with Wolverine and Captain America, as they are able to draw aggro once things get too hot. En Fuego, in case you were wondering, means "on fire" in Spanish.
What did you think of Marvel's Midnight Suns? Are you looking forward to playing as Deadpool? Mouth off in the comments section below.
Currently going through NG+ on Midnight Suns to get the last trophy for the platinum. Hope to finish it in time for the Deadpool DLC. It is a game that really surprised me how good it was. Never played a card battler before and never was a tactical rpg fan, but these battles are so much fun and addicting. This DLC will give me more fun in the game so cant wait
@Lavalera i am exactly in the same boat.
Love this game ! The grind for the last trophy is a bit silly though. (I need dark alignment)
@Ashkorsair Yeah, that's the same one I'm missing. I just skip all cinematics and skip through the conversations until i see a dark/light choice. I also make sure to use mostly dark cards in my Hunter deck, which also increases dark balance. The battles are fun enough to not really make it feel like a slog getting this trophy.
I absolutely loved Midnight Suns and basically set Ragnarok aside while I played all the way through the campaign. I want more of these games and want to support it, but I kind of want to let all the DLC build up before I dive back in. Looking forward to it though!
@Lavalera that was my last trophy. The grind was almost unbearable, but don’t forget to do the threat room everyday. Use Wrath (free modifier), then Wild Strike 5 times on the strongest enemies, then last sight, end turn, last sight, end turn, last sight, end turn. It gets you +2 dark balance in 5 minutes or so once you’ve got the pattern down.
@ppitchfork Thanks for the advice. I haven't unlocked the threat room yet in the ng+. But once I do I'll keep that trick in mind
@Lavalera If you can get "Wild Strike" modded with fast, "last sight" with 25% stunt and "no mercy" modded or not, you can take down the hardest enemies. This game is a gem, I've stopped it my NG+ so I'll get another round with Deadpool!
Not a big fan of this gaming genre, but love anything Marvel that has Deadpool in it. Especially if he's being voiced by Nolan North (Nathan Drake).
I still plan to pick up this game in a few years, when the complete digital edition is $25 New or cheaper.
